Each course is designed with a particular audience and use in mind. This provides you with a maximum flexibility and cost-effectiveness without a loss of quality, competence, or suitability for regulatory use. Additionally, all courses feature a common approach to the patient to help reduce the confusion and assure a continuity of care as the ill or injured person is passed from the first aid provider to the health care professional.

CPR Plus of Texas  offers the following courses:

Basic First Aid/CPR
Basic First Aid Pediatric
Bloodborne Pathogens
AED Supplement
Basic First Aid/CPR and AED for Adults

Basic First Aid/CPR for Adults:

MEDIC FIRST AID Basic, Version 6.0  is a combined CPR/First Aid training program that teaches the minimum information and skills a first aid provider must know to provide effective emergency care to an injured or ill person before professional medical care is available. This extremely flexible program can help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work. The Basic course meets National Guidelines for First Aid Training in Occupational Setting and provides compliance with minimum occpational safety and health regulations.

AED Supplement:
The AED Supplement program is designed to teach the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) when responding to a person experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in occupational settings. A defibrillator is the only definitive treatment. AED's are used prior to the arrival of EMS and are an integral component of the Chain of Survival. The first minutes of care are critical for someone experiencing sudden cadiac arrest.
